Having over 40 years’ experience in industry, initially as a toolroom machinist, more recently as a multi-skilled maintenance engineer, maintaining, repairing and improving industrial equipment, from car making to food production, I have a broad spread of metalworking and electrical skills. It is my aim to emulate the engineers of old and reinvent their products into decorative and useful items, practical in the present day and well into the future. Things used to be made to last, not built down to a throw away price as is so often the case today. I love old machinery, the cast iron, copper and brass from which it was constructed, gears, pulleys and rods – this gave the Steampunk theme of my venture.
