I've got some CDs that aren't in the MusicBrainz database at all. Picard supports all popular music formats, including MP3, FLAC, OGG, M4A, WMA, WAV, and more. Search for information about artists, releases, release groups, labels, recordings, instruments, and events. (The 'Advanced method' docs should be all you need. So, you may have to quit, delete the plugin, possibly bump the version number or delete your prefs, then reinstall the plugin, then picard -d again.

I still need to learn how to add a CD from scratch. After that, you can go to check whether your artwork is loaded or not. Since this morning, Picard has been unable to fetch music info from the database. And I add basic cover art images if there is no cover art. This typically means Picard picked the wrong album.
You may be missing songs, or there may look like there are doubles and triples of a few songs. If the album isnt full/gold, open it up and see what it is doing. I can do simple stuff like adding a Disc ID if a lookup fails. If the album is correct and full, it will turn gold/yellow. I'm still learning the details of how to add or correct data on MusicBrainz. If you're going to contribute to MusicBrainz you pretty much have to learn how to use Picard. Since I've been getting my metadata from MusicBrainz and benefitting from the MusicBrainz metadata I figured I ought to contribute to MusicBrainz.
Either through CUETools/CUERipper or dBpoweramp. I've been getting most of my tagging metadata from MusicBrainz. It's not the best or most intuitive tagging tool. MusicBrainz Picard is a weird tagging program.
